Ceramic Coating

What is Ceramic Coating?

Industry-grade ceramic coating is a chemical polymer solution that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect it from external paint damage. Typically applied by hand, it blends with the paint of your car and creates an additional hydrophobic layer of protection.

Due to this chemical bonding and creation of a new layer, the car’s factory paint job remains untouched.

Ceramic coating is an alternative to waxing. The main idea is to prevent dirt, grime, and stain marks from appearing on the paint job and ruining the clear coat. **

Ceramic coating, also sometimes called nano-ceramic coating, is semi-permanent and has a longevity from 5 to 7 years. Due to its chemically intrinsic properties, it does not break down in normal atmospheric conditions like rain or sun.

 Ceramic coating reduces surface friction

 BENEFITS OF CERAMIC COATING

Smooth Surface: Ceramic coating creates an incredibly smooth surface, reducing the friction between the paint and any particles or objects that come into contact with it.

Less Particle Adhesion: With reduced surface friction, dust, dirt, and other particles are less likely to stick to the surface and cause micro-scratches during cleaning or regular use.

Water Repellent: The coating repels water, causing it to bead up and slide off the surface. This effect also helps in carrying away dirt and debris, which might otherwise adhere to the surface and cause scratches.

Resistance to Contaminants: Ceramic coating provides a barrier against environmental contaminants like bird droppings, tree sap, and acid rain, all of which can etch or scratch the paint if not removed promptly.

UV Protection: The coating also protects against UV rays, preventing the paint from oxidizing and becoming brittle, which can make it more susceptible to scratching.

Easier Cleaning: The hydrophobic effect makes cleaning the vehicle much easier and safer. Less force and friction are needed to remove dirt, thereby reducing the risk of inducing scratches during washes.

MAINTAINING YOUR CEAMIC-COATED CAR:

The Car Wash Method:

Wash every 2 weeks to prevent buildup of contaminants; rinse the car Start by rinsing the vehicle with a hose or pressure washer to remove loose dirt and debris from the surface. This step helps prevent scratching during the wash process.

  • Use high-quality microfiber towels for washing.

  • Use a bucket with clean water for the car wash soap specifically formulated for ceramic coatings, or a pH-neutral shampoo to avoid damaging the coating.

  • Use a Microfiber Towel: Use a high-quality microfiber towel to dry the car thoroughly.

  • Consider using a ceramic coating boost spray every few months to refresh the coating's hydrophobic properties and enhance its shine.

Avoid:

  • Automatic Car Washes: The abrasive brushes can damage the ceramic coating.

  • Washing in Direct Sunlight: Heat can cause water to evaporate quickly, leading to water spots and potentially affecting the soap's effectiveness.

  • Using Abrasive Cleaners: Avoid using harsh cleaners or materials that can damage the coating.

  • Avoid Air Drying: Air drying can leave water spots, so use a microfiber towel to dry the car thoroughly.

Other Maintenance:

  • Remove Debris Promptly:

  • Address bird droppings, bug splatters, and tree sap as soon as possible to prevent etching or staining.

  • Decontamination:

  • Regularly use a pH-neutral iron remover to remove metallic contaminants from the paint surface.

  • Avoid parking under trees or in areas with potential for tree sap, bird droppings, or other contaminants.

Protection Against Enviromental Factors
In order to apply ceramic coating Protection and optain great result, a multi step
process is required.
  • Hand Wash   [to remove basic dirt]
  • Paint Decontamination [to remove bugs, water spots, paint marks, stubborn gum]
  • Clay Bar treatment [to remove more aggressive contaminants like tree sap, over spray, road paint]
  • Paint Correction [to remove swirls & scratches /it can be one or two polish stages]
  • Paint Sanitation
  • 2 coats of ceramic coating is applied to all painted surfaces

*Not Scratch Proof: No coating can make a car completely scratch-proof, or prevent dents or rock chips. Ceramic coatings are designed to resist minor scratches but may not protect against deeper gouges or impacts.

Inspection of the paint is required for final price No charge for estimate
